Our kids dance classes in Perth are where the magic begins for many young dancers! Aged roughly 6 to 12, these school-aged children are full of energy and imagination – and we’ve got the perfect mix of structure and fun to keep them engaged.
At Kalamunda Performers, we offer a broad range of classes for kids, from elegant ballet to funky hip hop, so every child can find a style they love.
If your child has never danced before, that’s okay! We have entry-level classes in all styles specifically for beginners. Our instructors break down steps into easy-to-follow movements and give plenty of encouragement. No one gets left behind.
These years are key for developing solid technique. In classes like ballet and jazz, kids start learning proper form and terminology. In hip hop and tap, they build rhythm and coordination. Skills are taught progressively, so kids are always improving while still having fun.
All kids get the opportunity to perform in our annual concert, which is a major confidence booster! We also host fun in-studio events like theme weeks (crazy hair day, costume class etc.) to keep them motivated and happy.
Beyond dance steps, our kids classes focus on personal growth – teamwork, listening skills, and discipline are gently instilled. The studio often becomes a second home, where children form friendships and learn to express themselves.
